EU Blockchain Sandbox Project Cohort 2: 20 Innovative Use Cases and Participating Regulators
Earlier this summer, the European Blockchain Sandbox project announced 20 diverse and innovative use cases selected from across the EU/EEA to participate in the second cohort of dialogues. These use cases are spread across EU/EEA regions and represent a wide range of industry sectors and regulatory issues. Over the past few months, the sandbox team has been consulting with relevant national and EU-level regulatory authorities to identify the most suitable regulatory bodies to participate in the second cohort of dialogues. Following the success of the first cohort, there has been significant interest from regulatory bodies across the EU/EEA to participate in this year's discussions.
Regulatory bodies participating in the second cohort:
Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d'information – France
Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution – France
Die Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit – Germany
Ministerstwo Finansów – Poland
Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság – Hungary
Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner – Malta
SPF Santé Publique - FOD Volksgezondheid – Belgium
Stabsstelle für Finanzplatzinnovation und Digitalisierung – Liechtenstein
State Enterprise Center of Registers (Valstybės įmonė Registrų centras) – Lithuania
The second cohort matching process is ongoing.
The matching process for the second round of dialogues is still ongoing, and regulatory bodies wishing to participate are invited to contact the EBS project team at info@blockchain-sandbox.eu .
Confidential dialogues between selected use cases and matched regulators will run from the end of September 2024 to the first months of 2025. At the conclusion of these dialogues, a second round of best practices reports will be published.
